Hummingbird frames are made from carbon fibre, an advanced composite material used in aerospace and racing due to its high-performance qualities in terms of bike weight, stiffness and vibration dampening. Our single-speed bikes weigh 7.0 kg making Hummingbird the lightest carbon folding bike.
Visual Carbon Edition frame
Carbon fibre doesn’t just save electric bike weight; it can also be beautiful, proven by our immaculately laid Visual Carbon Edition frame.
This option showcases the exquisite craftsmanship required to make each frame, including the painstaking process of beautifully laying the tailored pieces of carbon cloth.
IT’S ALL IN THE DETAIL
The swingarms are machined from a solid aluminium billet to keep the electric folding bike weight to a minimum and anodized to ensure a strong part with a long-lasting finish. We individually number our frames that are all hand-built in England.
DESIGNED FOR SPEED
Hummingbird’s lightweight wheels are more robust and faster accelerating than bigger wheels, allowing you to go faster with less effort. The use of 16-inch wheel sizes also helps reduce the overall length of the road bike, making it compact and easier to transport while retaining the comfort of a full size folding e-bike.
The all-in-one electric motor and battery provide 250W of power via the rear hub motor with various electrical assistance settings.
BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLE
The Hummingbird frameset is both robust and comfortable to ride, each design is a perfect synergy of form and function, aesthetics and technology. The hummlock, Hummingbird’s safety pin, makes the bike very easy to carry onto public transport when folded and ensures all components lock together.
Hummingbird’s pivotal system allows you to fold your bike in less than five seconds – release the wheel under the frame, drop the seat and clip the handlebars under the swingarm. Beautifully simple.
